Integrated Child Protection Scheme (ICPS) of Government of India implemented by Department of Social Justice and Empowerment, Gujarat State Gandhinagar has recently given the Advertisement for the District Child Protection Officer, Security Officer, Social Worker, Accountant, Data Analyst, Counsellor. , invited applications for Assistant cum Data Entry Operator, Outreach Worker, Housewife (Grihamata) and other Recruitment 2022, eligible candidates apply within 10-15 days from the date of advertisement.
Integrated Child Protection Scheme is a centrally sponsored scheme. Ministry of Women and Child Development is looking after the implementation at national level, at State level Department of Social Justice and Empowerment Department have the responsibility of implementing the ICPS in the State.
To implement the Integrated Child Protection in the state, Memorandum of Understanding was signed with the Government of India in March 2010. Before that, the Government of Gujarat gave ‘in principle approval for the implementation of the scheme in February 2010.

For the implementation of the scheme in the state, the state Child Protection Society was registered under Public Trust Act 1950 on 24th January 2011. State Project Support Unit and State Adoption Resource Agency were formed to support GSCPS for the effective implementation of the scheme in the State. Under GSCPS, District Child Protection Units in each district have been formed to implement the scheme at District, block and Village level.
Child Protection’ is about protecting children from or against any perceived or real danger or risk to their life, their personhood and childhood. It is about reducing their vulnerability to any kind of harm and protecting them in harmful situations. It is about ensuring that no child falls out of the social security and safety net and, those who do, receive necessary care, protection and support so as to bring them back into the safety net. While protection is a right of every child, some children are more vulnerable than others and need special attention. The Government recognizes these children as ‘children in difficult circumstances’, characterized by their specific social, economic and geo-political situations. In addition to providing a safe environment for these children, it is imperative to ensure that all other children also remain protected. Child protection is integrally linked to every other right of the child.
